Husk Bagpipe Reeds are bold and bright sounding with a vibrant top hand and extremely stable. They are an excellent choice for both band and solo players.
The Husk chanter reed is a hybrid design, being half straight-cut and half ridge-cut. You can expect the top hand vibrancy and harmonics of a Straight-Cut reed with the bottom hand depth, volume and stability of a Ridge-Cut.
Husk Reeds are made from the highest quality aged cane and have a seamless brass staple. They are varnished with a non-toxic coating and come with waxed yellow hemp for the best connection in your reed seat.
